Terrible teacher. After the final I had an 89.99 and he would not round up to an A for me. The class is boring, and you have to write a paper at the end of the semester. The tests aren't too terribly difficult, but he is just a douche. He hates premed students, so tell him you are interested in grad school.

You really have to know the notes he gives inside & out. But his notes suck cause it's just paragraphs of info, not very organized. He's kinda goofy but not a terribly hard class, pretty boringm, but tolerable

This is an easy class if you're a bio major and already taken micro and genetics, doerrler is a nice guy, kinda goofy, but overall a pretty good teacher-tests are straight from the notes that are posted online-no need to go to class

He was the most inefficient teacher ever. His exams did not follow the notes especially on the final. I have never known so many people in one class to go down a whole letter grade due to the final. Students in class sometimes knew more than him.

I loved Dr. Biel. He was always available outside of class in case you had questions. He was always very helpful and actually cared about the students learning the material. He teached as if he was here to educate not earn a salary.

It's fun class, great teacher in fact the best I've ever had at LSU. You souhld try to take this class before biochemistry you will find it very helpful. The thing to it is don't stress, and don't try to do do more than what he says to do.

the class was not too bad, but biel is a shady character. he makes things sound really easy but watchout cuz he'll rail you on the tests. dont tick him off or he goes haywire and makes quizzes and tests pretty hard.
