Probably the easiest science class I've had so far (along with Chem 1202). Kolniak is straightforward, offers a cheap set of notes to use in class, and offers practice exams online. The group final was a bit trickier than previous exams given during the semester, but there's a nice curve at the end.

Kolniak is the easiest Chemistry teacher at LSU by far. All of his tests can be studied for from his old test bank that he gives you access to. I never applied myself, went to class like three times, and still managed a C in the course. If you half try, expect a B.
Also, he gives bonus out like money at a bar mitzvah.

You don't even need to show up for class, except on quiz days which are all listed for you. Just buy the notes, do the practice test, you'd be sure to get an A in the class. You can do homework with friends, gives out a bonus problem worth about 5% extra of your total grade. Final might be a bit more challenging b/c Kolniak doesn't teach everything on it, but it's curved. By far the best chemistry teacher for this class!

Pretty easy overall. The lab reports you have to write for each lab are a pain, but you get used to it. You have quizzes each lab so you probably need to look over the material a little before the lab. Some of the labs take 30 minutes but some take almost the whole time. The midterm was mostly calculations. They give you a review sheet to know what to look over. The final has a practical part and calculations. I don't think which instructor you take matters, because you get a TA that teaches the class anyways.

He posts practice exams on the website and they are very similar to the real thing. Going to class is helpful and he does 5 class quizzes per semester. If you put in the time you can get an A, you just don't really learn the material.

This course was quite easy, although I made a 'C'. I only went to class for the tests. I didn't take any of the quizzes and only completed a few of the online homework assignments. There were days where I would study the day before and still make good grades on the exams. I just hated the fact that in class he would just read the given notes to us. But, he's a great teacher. Go for him, if possible.
