You're going to learn alot in this class, but it's a very interesting class or for me it was. Dr. Aravena is very good at teaching controls, and from the way students talk about the other teachers that teach control, Aravena sounds like the best for this course. You're going to have to take a lot of out class time for this course but it's worth it.

Aravena is an amazing teacher. He gets a really bad rep because of how difficult Circuits is (but the class is easier now that before because the department wants more EEs out), but he really cares about your success. Very helpful during office hours

A VERY tough class. Aravena is a great teacher who explains his work very well. Make sure you do the homework and do not relie on your group to get it all done. TONES of outside work required!!!!

EE2120 is a hard class. Aravena doesn't help it much. Expect to see very hard test problems and trick problems.

Basically this class is designed to make or break you...if you don't really want to be an EE or EEC, Aravena is out to kill every undergrad anyway, so put your head between your legs and kiss your A$$ goodbye.

Aravena is a good teacher. Holds many office hours and makes a point to make sure everyone understands. The material for this cours is very hard but Aravena makes me look forward to coming to class.

Aravena is freakin hard. the test are like woe! More than half the class will drop eventually. But Aravena will MAKE you learn a lot. If you're not sure you want to be an EE, this class will make you change majors.

The tests were purposely designed to make you fail, and forget partial credit. No points back for any missed item on a test. Aravena is a good teacher though, and provides you with the necessary level of critical thinking skills to be an EE.

Its one of the toughest courses, because the matireal is all new. But Dr. Aravena is an awesome teacher, and following the class will properly will get you the knowledge and skill necessary for the next ee classes.

Dr. Aravena instructs his T.A. to fuck you in the ass when they grade your exams. He loves to fail and hates to give A's. I really do think that it eats him up inside when someone gets an A. His test are so tricky. So get ready for your ass to hurt

Aravena goes out of his way to confuse you on the tests. The homework takes forever and the tests are extremely hard. If he gives a test review session, GO TO IT!!! You'll learn more from him that hour than all of class.

he's a cool guy who does not want to allow people that he thinks will not do well in EE to continue, but he will help you if you actually try. the tests are hard and he never gives you points back for a misgraded problem
