I'm not very good at languages, but Azenara was still NOT a good teacher. She speaks in Spanish for the entirety of a class (very hard for beginner-never-taken-spanish-before level class). I had a hard time understanding in class and didn't do well on the tests because she did not prepare you for them.

Sra. Azenara is the BOMB! Seriously...if you enjoy learning and working hard you will looove this class. Best teacher I have ever had in life! She is a little intimidating at first and if you don't try you feel like she will bite you, but if you do try she will help you a LOT. Be prepared to study many hours a week, but she ROCKS!

Azenara is an effective teacher, but she can be a little insensitive sometimes when students don't understand a certain subject. It's a foreign language, so there's lots of study time memorizing vocab, etc. Overall, if you like Spanish, you'll like the course and the teacher.

Spanish is departmental so she cannot really control the tests but in class she speaks all Spanish and very rapidly. Be ready to study every night and that still will not be enough. I knew spanish well before and I still struggled at times.

I don't see how these other ppl think Azenara is mean AT ALL! This woman was so much fun and so far the best Spanish teacher I've had. She teaches very well and gives you everything you need to know on the tests. If you do poorly it's your own fault.

I have never had a teacher actually ENJOY giving me a C. She is a real witch. She will not help you with your spanish, learn it on your own. I genuinely disklike her as a teacher and a person after taking her class.
