I'm a microbiology lover, but taking this was a silly decision in many parts. In my head I wanted to take one of LSU's hardest courses by one of the most "respected" professors (mainly by the faculty and research students…only). Basically if you're not a pretty little smart girl who does research or wants to, don't take battista. I mean, he married one of his previous students… He has some impressive previous discoveries, but his time is way past due. I loved the course content, couldn't stand him (neither could anyone in the course). Class started with over 20 students ended with less than 10. Lectures are boring and you have to go, exams are 14 pages and all written/essay (for science…). I finished in the top half (of less than 10), but advice anyone against it. also, as mentioned earlier, if you're not a pretty and smart girl DO NOT ask for a rec letter, he WILL fuck you with it
