Review #1 / Course: BIOL 1002 / Instructor: POLLOCK S
Biology 1002 shouldn't be this hard. Pollock had a very nice personality towards his students. Had office hours to talk to him about any problems you may have and was an all around good guy. But for him being so nice, you would figure his tests would be somewhat easy as well. Think again. He gives you a study guide but be sure to understand every bit and detail in the notes. I recommend going to class because he hints exam questions. But all around I would recommend taking him if your into biology. If not, go for Crousillac if available. That guys a breeze

Review #2 / Course: BIOL 1002 / Instructor: POMARICO S
Pomarico annoyed me all semester long. I thought his tests were not easy and we had "group" activities in a class of over 300. I can honestly say I didn't like him UNTIL my final grade was a 79.45 and he gave me a B. I was shocked and extremely grateful that he took the time to bump me up. His really loves what he does and you can tell. He tries VERY hard to make it interesting. I'd take him again.

Review #3 / Course: BIOL 1002 / Instructor: HRINCEVICH A
Im in A student and will end up with a B in this class. DO NOT READ THE OTHER REVIEWS!! he must have bribed students with bonus or something, theres no way this many people like this guy. yeah, he can think he's cool and funny or whatever but the bottom line is he tests were extremely unfair. he puts random facts/ questions from the book on the tests that you were never remember even if you did read it. you could memorize the class notes perfectly and still make a low grade on exams. i wish i hadn't read those other reviews so i didnt take this guy. if you want an A don't take him. if you are fine with a B or C, this will be just like any other gen ed class at LSU.

Review #4 / Course: BIOL 1002 / Instructor: HRINCEVICH A
This review is for Spring 2011. This Biology is just like the other 1002's no harder or easier. Dont be fooled by Hrincevichs high rating, he offered a section bonus points to review his class one semester. All his "bonus" opportunities couldn't matter any less because everyone gets the same curve on the test anyway. Take him if you want, either way you'll have some overpaid professor reading powerpoint's to you just like all of LSU non major sciences.

Review #5 / Course: BIOL 1002 / Instructor: POLLOCK S
Dr. Pollock understands that the majority of the students in this class are non-boiology majors and teaches accordingly. He doesn't go unnecessarily deep into the topics and breaks thing down to the basics. He post powerpoints after lectures but only if class attendance doesnt drop. I didn't go to class much at all and pulled off a low B by just studying powerpoints and reading the book for clarification but GO to class to fully understand and you are sure to get an A. Grading is clear and homework and quizzes help a lot and can only raise your grade not lower it even if you only do 1 out of 10! I took him for Biol 1001 too, fun guy; makes Biol interesting( well interesting enough)!
