this is such a chemistry class for non-chemists. we learn about things like pollution and toxins. and hogan uses kid language. so easy. grading system is 8 ten point quizzes then a 30 point final. when you add up your quiz points, it's out of 70, rather than 80. so you're okay to miss a few points here and there. oh and he goes over the material right before the quiz, making them even easier but you should study the material a bit beforehand anyway. you don't need the book, i'm not even sure if there is a book. you don't need to go to class because notes are on his website but make sure you don't lose track of when the quizzes are. i missed one because of that, i still managed an A though.

Boring class, but real nice guy though. His quiz questions come from his old finals. I didn't discover until later on in the semester otherwise I would've had an A or a B.

It is better to take this class as your continuing GenEd class. Hogan is a good teacher. Knows chem. really well, so sometimes goes in too deep! read the bold lines frm notes for exams. read the quizzes for final!
