He is a pretty cool teacher. Tests were somewhat challenging because you have to really understand the materials and be put things together. Overall, it was a pretty interesting course.

You really have to know the notes he gives inside & out. But his notes suck cause it's just paragraphs of info, not very organized. He's kinda goofy but not a terribly hard class, pretty boringm, but tolerable

This is an easy class if you're a bio major and already taken micro and genetics, doerrler is a nice guy, kinda goofy, but overall a pretty good teacher-tests are straight from the notes that are posted online-no need to go to class

It was his first time teaching in fall 04. Test reflected the notes which were posted online. gave a big curve on the first test and he gave a 25 point bonus opportunity. Nice guy but not the best teacher.material relevant to other courses like 4087

He was the most inefficient teacher ever. His exams did not follow the notes especially on the final. I have never known so many people in one class to go down a whole letter grade due to the final. Students in class sometimes knew more than him.
