You don't have to go to class. Everything you need to know is in the notes he gives you and there was no clicker. The class is boring because it is just a slide show of paintings. You have to memorize artist, painting, style, and time frame for every painting/sculpture/architecture.

Darius was hilarious. He kind of rambles about the paintings but his voice is so cute, it doesn't even matter. He goes over a lot of stuff and tries to narrow it down for the test, but it is still ends up being a lot. If you are good at memorizing things, this class really shouldn't be that much of a problem for you.

definately take him. go to class and take the notes, he gives a lot of extra info so don't write that down. know artist, dates, style, just basics. keep the sylabus in class with you and follow it. no tricks and he'll tell you if there is one. 89.3 A

There is a lot of material for exams, but they weren't too bad. I LOVE Dr. Zucker... he's so funny and makes the class quite entertaining.

Very hard to understand. Class is quite boring, which will result in you not wanting to go to the class. Test are pretty hard. Only 2 test total up your final grade. Other than that, he has a pretty good personality.

Zucker is hard to hear if you are not in the first 5 rows. Besides that the man is rather quirky, very expressive, and he has a great sense of humor. He's passionate about the subject and wants you to be as well. His tests are not bad at all.

zucker is a funny guy. the class was interesting, but long (since i took the night class). sometimes he starts to whisper so you can't really hear him, but he's hilarious. i didn't like that we only had midterm and final, not hard though. take him!

The tests are a lot of memorization. You have to memorize at least 200 pieces of work (including the artist, where it was painted/built, the date, what is was painted on/constructed out of ) If you have good study habits, take speith.

dont need to go to class. powerpoints available online. easy if you learn all of material, but it's an ungodly amount of crap to memorize. papers are easy to get an A on, though.

Class was boring, Speith just showed a powerpoint and read the bullets. 3 Tests and 2 papers, Papers were easy As. Tests require LOTS of memorization of the art, just to answer 20 questions 1st test= rather easy, other 2 =more difficult.

Don't waste your time memorizing everything he goes over. If it's not pictured in the book, it won't be on the tests. Bring some coffee to class too, he turns out the lights. He took attendence, but I dont know why.

2 short papers, 3 tests, and he drops the lowest grade! He also posts lectures online, and the tests aren't hard if you've studied art before (simple memorization).

TAKE SPIETH! I never went to class and i got an A....he puts all his power points online and he doesnt lecture any differently. All the information you need to ace the tests are online....take him if you want an A!

if you know a little about art, you can get through the class pretty easily. he posts all the notes online so you dont have to go to class and you dont need to know background info on works for tests

Really interesting class if you like art and/or architecture. Moved at a good slow pace, easy to keep up with the material. Non cumulative only 3 tests. Good elective. Go to class everyday take good notes and you'll be fine.

He is one cooky cat, but it keeps things interesting. He mumbles and it can be boring; he would always turn the lights off which made it hard to stay awake. Tests are pure memorization. Take this class to get a good laugh.

This class was boring but Dr. Noreen is very interested in what she teaches and knows it all, her lectures are very organized and come straight from the book. She also gives a study guide before each test, and the final was cumulative but real easy.

Zucker is the best professor I've had so far. His love of art really shines through.... he is so enthusiastic about what he teaches. The tests are not too hard, but make notecards with pictures of the art on them.... it helps A LOT!!!!

If you must take this class, take Zucker. He's funny and knows his stuff. The class is rather boring, and success in the class takes alot of memorization of not only works of art and their artists, but also dates and nationalities.

Not only is he boring, but he doesn't enunciate, refuses to answer questions, questions your intelligence when you don't know how to spell what he pronounces "horstrum" but is actually "course string", and he lied about the final being cumulative.

Prof. Bacot was funny, and it was very refreshing to have a teacher so excited about the material he was teaching. I wouldn't recommend this class to everyone because it requires a love of art and tons of studying.

Zucker is a good professor. It is prominant that he loves art and has a way of explaining it so that everyone can understand. Bad thing is grading relys on 3 exams (no quizzes or opportunities for bonus pts.) make sure you don't screw up on a test.
