Easy class but boring Professor, it's a typical freshmen class. I found Crousillac to be boring as he read straight from the powerpoints which he probably copied and pasted (and he posts them online so class attendance isn't always necessary). With that being said, he does care about his students and wants them to succeed as he holds out of class review sessions and has great office hours. The exams are very easy as long as you study the night before and he gives in class quizzes every once in awhile which do weigh on your grade. I probably went to class 40% of the semester and would have had a 94 although I missed a lot of the in class quizzes which unfortunately brought me down to a B!

Easiest biology class ever. I hate/suck at science and was thinking I was going to flunk this course. But for the first test I just looked over the powerpoints and made an A. All you have to do is memorize everything in the powerpoints and you will ace this class. Trust me, I have a 2.3 GPA overall in my years at LSU and surprisingly biology 1001 with Crouisillac was my first ever A in LSU and it was the subject I hated the most!!

Adam was a great bio teacher! He was pretty communicative and his test came from his powerpoints. You need to go to class for the notes or look it up later on noteswap. Tests are usually 75 questions and above with many parts to some of them. Need to study atleast a week before exams. Bonus points are given for attendance and turning in some stuff. The points are added to exams and slight curve depending on the average of the exams. Masteringbio is used for hw. Recommended general bio teacher for bio 1 & 2!!!

Review #4 / Course: BIOL 1001 / Instructor: GREGG C
Biology really isn't in my interests at all, but to fill science requirements, it's bearable. Dr. Gregg was really nice; I liked him a lot, even though I don't care for biology at all. The only problem was that Dr. Gregg could not keep the noise in the classroom down; people talked all the way through his lectures. The online quizzes are fairly easy, since they are open book and you can take all the time you want to get through them. Definitely take the pre-tests; the actual exams aren't bad as long as you've really studied the material. The course actually got easier as the semester went along; I barely had to study for the last test. What's nice is that the last test, the "final" exam, is during final exam week, but it's not any different than any of the other tests: it's non-cumulative and counts for the same grade percentage. The bonus clicker points are definitely a plus. I can't say that I actually loved the class, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, thanks to the professor.

I got a B in this class and am an A student. DO NOT be fooled by all these positive reviews, he obviously bribed them for bonus. He wants to seem all cool and hip, but bottom line he's a total douche for the way he tests. You'd have to memorize every line of the book and power points to get an A without the curve. Basically, for whatever grade you plan to study hard for, except to get at least one lettergrade lower. HE SUCKS!!
