He comes off as a rude guy but once you get to know him he is really nice and helpful. Everyone freaks out about his test and say he is so hard but he really isn't. The more you study the worse you do in my opinion, just go to class and pay attention because his test are exactly that. No need for outside reading, doesn't help you just waste your time. Compared to other bio 1202 teachers he seams a bit easier as long as you go to class, take good notes, and study exactly your notes from his lectures for the test.

Yes, I got a C. However, I am normally an A-B Student. This class is not hard, and was not required for my major, just my senior electives, so I did not focus on it as much as my other courses. It requires a great deal of study time, mostly memorization with very few serious concepts. He does not have homework, quizzes, or any other buffers for your grade. It is four exams with a Final, thats it, no extra. However, he did curve a few of the exams slightly due to ambiguous questions. Overall, he is a dick in person, and makes it hard to set up a meeting. He knows the material well, preaches it well, gives you the notes for class. I recommend him, just study alot, mostly the notes and read the chapters once or twice.

Review #3 / Course: BIOL 1202 / Instructor: POLLOCK S
This class was SUPER time consuming and tests were hard. Taken in computer lab. He LOVES plant biology and knows most of us are pre med\dent\ot\pt, etc. so this is the only time we will have the opportunity to learn about plants. The majority of the class was plants and at the end we did body systems. Worked SO hard for an A but was extremely gratifying. Pollock is a very nice guy, accessible, helpful during office hours. Go review your test with him after you take it-he makes note of who comes to office hours.

Review #5 / Course: BIOL 1202 / Instructor: GREGG C
Dr. Gregg made learning about all the phylums in fungi, protist, plants, bacteria, and all that dreadful stuff a little bit more tolerable. Gives extra points for attending days before holidays. Take Gregg for 1202!
