TAKE LEWIS! Easiest history class at LSU. Three online quizzes, two papers, and one cumulative final. Go to class for bonus opps and don't slack off. If you do really well on everything leading up to the final, you only need like a 60 for the final to get an A. PS they grade the final and papers relatively hard so don't slack and you'll get an A!!

Dr. Lewis was a very nice teacher, however for a 2000 level class a lot of time is required if you want to make an A. Make sure you go to class and take notes, and definitely read the required texts.

You can tell shindo has a passion for history. He is available for help via email, so take advantage of that. You write three essays, and they are easy if you read book/ watch movie. Tests require a lot of studying and cover a lot of material.

Hyde is a great teacher. She makes the class fun and doesn't talk down to you. She does take a attendance but it doesn't count towards a grade. If you go to most of your classes and put in the effort when the test rolls around you should have no problem getting an a in this class. You do have to read three novels, but the reading guide gives you the things you need to focus on, making you be able to skim through. Take Hyde if you get the chance.

I love history (especially American) and I HATED this class. Hilton is absolutely horrible. He grades essays ridiculously hard. Our first test had only 4 A's and 18 B's out of a class of about 200. I was glad I came out of this class with a B. Also the way he talks about politics is extremely aggravating. Oh and he takes roll everyday but then does nothing with it in the end. No reason to attend class.

This class is interesting, and she also makes it better. She will help us out as much as possible with grades lie if she sees you come a lot of improved grades on test she will give you the extra points you need. You have to read 3 books but they really arent bad and she gives you a reading guide and takes two questions off of it for the test. Only three test. Good course.

Professor Lewis has a great personality and really made this course enjoyable. The exams are extremely easy IF you study and take good notes. My advice is take notes to hear talking, NOT the powerpoints.

Charles Shindo is a great teacher and the material is interesting. The tests are all essay and there is lots of material though. You also have to write three papers on books and movies. Be prepared to put in some time if you're taking this class!

Dr. Culbert is a great professor. He is very straightforward and gives you more than enough information to prepare for the test. On the first day of class he told us the essay question of our first test. It doesn't get any better than that!!!!

Of course, it did require some work and studying, but I don't usually like history and I really enjoyed the class and learned a lot. Tests are also very fair, you just have to actually study and you'll be fine.

I feel that he expects more of the students than he takes the time to teach. I had a hard time taking notes because he spoke too quietly and gave too much information that he'd later say was irrelevant.
