Dr. Allen is the coolest professor ever! Biggest tips for his class: 1.) Don't be late! 2.) Make good study buddies! 3.) Read the books as soon as possible because the due dates will pop up out of nowhere. His essay questions were a little ridiculous, and he gave us all a pop quiz when a lot of people came to class late, but overall, I loved this class! Please take him!

This class and professor has zero organization. You will never know anything about your grades, assignments or tests. Dr Allen is not going to tell you anything about African American history, just random black facts. If you want to pull your hair out take this guy!!

tests were easy, but he gave 2 random pop quizzes that everyone failed. the class wasn't very interesting overall.

This is the best class I have had at LSU! It has influenced me more than any other class I've ever taken, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for people of any race!

This class is great,and so is Dr Moore.He's a bit close minded and fails to look at the fact that other races deal with the same problems AA's do-it was more like a SOCL class than HIST.It was rather unstructured but it doesn't come back to hurt you.
