MATH 1022: Plane Trigonometry

Neal is not a nice teacher. I took an online course with her and she said she did not get paid to answer questions. However, she is a Christian and they are supposed to serve. Not much service there!

If you've ever done trig before, take the early completion course. You can get everything done in the first to weeks of school if you want. You don't have to go to class and you don't have to do math lab hours (which are TERRIBLE and so time consuming). Everything is online. If you do the homework and miss a question, you can use the "Help me solve this" and it will teach you how to do it. There are also videos that teach you about the different subjects if you need a refresher. Exams are just like the practice exams, just shorter. Be careful with computer math, a stray comma, period, number, anything will make the question WRONG. IF YOU HAVE TAKEN TRIG BEFORE, TAKE EARLY COMPLETION!

I am a person that loves math and for me she killed it. She knows nothing about math and I mean nothing. She will copy problems right out of the book, doesn't explain anything. If I did't know math I would not be getting a good grade in this class. She thinks she is so cool and helpful saying we don't need to learn the unit circle, but because of the unit circle I am a month ahead of the class and not struggling. If you don't like math or not good at it don't take her. PS she sounds depressed every day and sometimes sounds like she is on the verge of tears. She also has a "police officer" her TA who walks around class taking notes on your behavior to deduct your participation points.

She always has an attitude when she emails people, but the fact that you don't have to see her face is a plus!

The only reason I ever went to this class was to get the participation points. Homework and tests are computerized. You can basically teach yourself this course very easily.
