Neal is not a nice teacher. I took an online course with her and she said she did not get paid to answer questions. However, she is a Christian and they are supposed to serve. Not much service there!

If you've ever done trig before, take the early completion course. You can get everything done in the first to weeks of school if you want. You don't have to go to class and you don't have to do math lab hours (which are TERRIBLE and so time consuming). Everything is online. If you do the homework and miss a question, you can use the "Help me solve this" and it will teach you how to do it. There are also videos that teach you about the different subjects if you need a refresher. Exams are just like the practice exams, just shorter. Be careful with computer math, a stray comma, period, number, anything will make the question WRONG. IF YOU HAVE TAKEN TRIG BEFORE, TAKE EARLY COMPLETION!

I am a person that loves math and for me she killed it. She knows nothing about math and I mean nothing. She will copy problems right out of the book, doesn't explain anything. If I did't know math I would not be getting a good grade in this class. She thinks she is so cool and helpful saying we don't need to learn the unit circle, but because of the unit circle I am a month ahead of the class and not struggling. If you don't like math or not good at it don't take her. PS she sounds depressed every day and sometimes sounds like she is on the verge of tears. She also has a "police officer" her TA who walks around class taking notes on your behavior to deduct your participation points.

The only reason I ever went to this class was to get the participation points. Homework and tests are computerized. You can basically teach yourself this course very easily.

KOPCSO is who you should take. Our class had the highest avgs. She gives you the notes so in class you only need to just pay attention. Anyone can easily get an A in this course, but its time consuming. Make sure you get 100s on all your HW and quizes. And practice the exams practices until you get 100s on those and the course will be a breeze. I needed a 60 on the final to drop to a B

Even though math computer tests are terrible, Dr. Cochran did his best to teach a class of 600 people math. He always answered questions to the best of his ability.

You don't ever have to go to class....EVER. I have not gone to class more than twice. If you do all the homework and quizzes on course compass, and go to lab, and do all the practic problems b4 the test...you will get an A! Very simple.

For math 1022, I never attended the lectures just the labs. It is pointless to go to the lectures. All the material covered in the lectures is covered in the labs. Tests are computer based. Overall not a difficult class.

Lisan is ok, but doesn't really teach, just reads the online notes-don't bother going to class. I took trig in h.s. and i understand everything, but the online tests are HORRIBLE- no partial credit and it grades wrong sometimes. Avoid this class!

Prof. Lax is a great teacher, he really wants you to learn and you can ask dumb questions. Maple TA can be a pain, but homeworks will be a lifesaver cuz you can practice as much as you want, lab teacher are great help too!.

Ridiculous. The course required us to attend lab that was no help at all, meaning the course required 4 hours instead of the 3 hours we get credit for. I had an A but got a b b/c i didnt go to class in the distracting cox building or lab.

I bombed the final b/c most of the test was from test 4 and stuff after it. If you memorize the answers from your homework problems on the internet, you should do well, that's where most of the exact problems on the tests come from.

Vaughn was a great teacher considering the amount of students in the class. The test was on computers but the problems were less complex. This trig class was a lot easier than at LSUE. (I would have never passed it over there.)

This class had over 350 people in it and was very hard to learn. Homework and tests are done on the computer so not only do you have to learn trig but you have to learn computer language. there ia absolutely no half credit and the server shuts down

All she talks about is playing golf, like we really care!! She has a real dry sense of humor, she's lazy, and she doesn't care so much that you get the information just that she covers the sections that she's supposed to.

Even though he has a thick accent, he takes about a hour for every problem, so don't worry about falling behind. If you took trig in high school like I did you'll be fine - I never went to class and barely studied. It's easy, he never gives quizzes.

He is such a nice guy but definitely not a good professor. He COULD NOT find a way to teach so that students understood. Upside- easier tests than most 1022. Downside: you have to teach yourself, and you aren't prepared for dept. final.

He's a very laid back teacher, he comes to class and sometimes doesn't seem to know what he's doing. However, if he doesn't understand something, don't worry. It won't be on the test. We never stayed the whole time, just be sure to ask questions.

Overall, Saale is a good teacher. She does, however, grade somewhat unfairly, especially on the final. Be sure to check your tests, because while she is an OK trig teacher, she has problems scoring (adding and subtracting).
