not a good teacher! rambles on about one topic for an entire class period and tells a lot of personal stories. NEVER responds to emails, and if so it is days later. didnt go by the syllabus at all and was always changing test/quiz dates. it is hard to take notes because he never gets to the point and just goes on and on. it is a 1000 level course but expects way more than 1000 level. i am going to avoid taking him in the future.

I had Joe Rhodes for this class. At first, he was very adamant about quizzes, a final and lots of projects, but we ended up having maybe 3 quizzes, 2 speeches and a final project. No tests! Joe was awesome. I highly recommend this class. He likes to curse a lot, and he's young, so he knows we're not playing around. Really great guy!

He's funny and he tells stories that correspond with the information he teaches. He gave quizzes once a week that were 5 questions long but they're pretty easy. Also had to do about 4 extra assignments/essays but they weren't bad.
