Keim is a very entertaining professor. Course content is boring, but if you take notes in class and study for the tests you should do fine. Class averages for the tests are very low, but he curved each test by 10 points. Review sessions before each test are very helpful. Do your work in this class and your grade will be fine. I only used the textbook to help me clarify things while studying.

Very hard tests, the average was usually around a 65. He does give you a list of "key terms" for the test but these are not helpful. It was an interesting class but too advanced for a 2000 level class - Kiem is very intelligent. Also, there were only 3 exams were the only grades you received in the class. He did round about 10 pts for each test.

Keim is a great professor! Need to go to class and study to get the grade. He curves all the test by at least 10 points. Do not buy the book (it is useless.)

The grade came solely through 4 exams so you had to know what was going on, but the good thing is that good ole' Barry knew what he was teaching. Very excited about sharing his knowledge and wasn't ashamed of bragging about working for the Louisiana Climatology Office. He bought a new infrared thermometer and we spent about half of lecture watching him excitedly measure the temperatures of anything that he saw either outside or inside Howe-Russell. He tried to teach us about condensation using a cold Abita but when the air was too dry for water to condensate, he gave up and just drank it during lecture. He's a good guy and likes to get to know his students, even taking those with the highest exam grades out for lunch at Chimes. I highly recommend him if you have the chance.

This class was okay but the test questions were random and got worse as the class went on. They always have a big curve!

great class, easy, one research paper (small) though..only bad part. barry is a terrific professor and a very nice and laid back guy..if you take him at night he'll let you out at least an hour early...2 hours a week..who can complain about that?
