Cortazar can be, at times, VERY difficult to understand if you are not a native speaker. He gets carried away and rambles on and on about something, while only 2 or 3 people understand him. Come to class prepared.

I had to drop this class because Cortazar is such a horrible professor. He's inaudible, rambles, and does not structure his class lectures. He's so bad that I was advised both by students and other people in the Spanish department not to take him!

Cortazar doesn't structure his lectures or tell students what will be on the exams. The textbook doesn't help, so be prepared to work hard on the papers to save your grade!

Do not take this class if you are not a native speaker. I have been taking spanish for about 7 years and this has been the worst class. I will probably drop this class. Good luck if you have him!
