Stephens acts like he doesn't care, but deep down he wants everyone to do well. No one did worse than a B in the class, and partial credit is always given.

If you are in FIN 3716 it most likely means it is mandatory. If you have to take it, take Stephens. I read the reviews before I scheduled him and was quite terrfied. However, he said he has changed and his class is now a joke if you need an A.

Stephens' tests were nothing like his study guides. do not bother even going over the study guides, they are a waste of your time. Stephens was repeatedly unprepared for class and even showed up without the tests once. pick another teacher!!!

Cliff is crazy, but he wants everyone to do well. Curves his tests and gives easy quizzes and attendance grades.

Stephens is horrible, DO NOT TAKE HIM. He doesn't teach, and his tests are hard as hell. Don't waste your money on the book, his questions aren't from it. This is probably one of the worst teachers I've ever had.

Dr. Stephens...WOW what a crazy and interesting guy. He is so irradic and doesn't really care about anything, classes are usually short, tests are kinda hard. He gives lots of extra points just because. The syllabus is not concrete at all!

He absolutely did not want to be there. I had to teach myself finance. It required 30 hours a week to make a B. His second test is sabatage, curved 38 points. He is totally wild & couldn't care less.

Stephens made it obvious that he did not want to be teaching. He was very unorganized, hard to understand, and unhelpful. If you can teach finance to yourself, then take him. Otherwise, find another teacher.

don't make the mistake of taking him. he is by far the worst teacher i've ever had. he told us multiple times that he would prefer to do sth else besides having to teach and that's excatly the way he prepared for class. his way of teaching is a joke.

I would recommend Stephens to all students that require this course to graduate. He is far better that Rauterkaus! Don't take the course for an easy A though.

Stephens was a nice enough person but a horrible teacher. I have no doubt that he is good at Finance, but he just has no idea how to teach it. The curve on the second test was 33 points--that should tell you something!

this is the worst professor i have ever had besides richard stahl. do not make the same mistake i have made by taking this guy. he probably can't even spell teach.

Good class. Professor Stephens knows his stuff. He gives hard tests but the way he computes your final grade really helps you out.

I can actually say that I came out of this class not learning a single thing. Cliff, in my opinion, made it abundantly clear that he really did not want to be teaching the class. If you actually want to learn something, take someone else.
