Dr. Isbell is funny and very nice, but he should not impose his personal religious beliefs on students.

The grading is horrible! U don't find out how you did on anything until he submits grades at the end, and then you have no say. I missed 2 classes all semester and wasn't given any attendance points which were 4% of your semester grade!

Isbell wants students to drop his class, and I did. His lectures are poorly-organized and disjointed, and the textbook (which he wrote) is tedious. His lame jokes get old fast, as does his class.

Very difficult to stay awake in class. Super guy- really cool and funny, but the classes were pure lecture & tests were impossible.

Do not take this class!! It is extremely boring and very hard. He gives reading assignments every night and all he does is lectures! there are no hw assignments or anything. he only gives 2 tests total, so if u do bad on those, u'r screwed!

The professor was awesome, he always told jokes and that made learning more enjoyable; the information presented really gave a new prespective on the old testament

Dr. Isbell's brilliance and expertise are evident in all of his lectures, and unless you're totally indoctrinated in your religious beliefs he will make you want to learn a lot more about your own religion and others.
