Unless you plan to be a serious physicist or mathematician do NOT take this course. Dr. Cohen is a great teacher, but this class taught me how difficult math can be.

Dr. Cohen is great. Always excited to teach. Test aren't easy, nor too difficult. Calc 3 in general is pretty easy.

The material in this class could be taught in honors high school classes, but you'll learn a whole lot. Cohen isn't helpful. He doesn't like doing examples, so he does *one* slowly and basically expects you to do the rest yourself.

Sometimes i wanted to scream out "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" He doesnt explain the question, nor the solution. He gets in his own little world and you dont knwo where he is going.

WOW 1552 was HARD! I had cohen for 1550 & he teaches the same. Tests are HARD! Have to attend class, do homework, & get to know him 1on1. He's willing to help you. Great teacher- he knows his stuff but 1552 is hard! Gotta study but I recommend cohen!

Get to know him 1on1. Tests are really hard. You HAVE to attend class & be prepared to study & do your homework. He will help you til you understand (outside of class). As far as grading, do your best. There are no curves.

With the occasional yawn and always dreary voice punctuated by jokes dripping with sarcasm, Dr. Cohen drifted through class more than he taught it. He's an awesome mathematician and a credit to LSU, but he's definetly not the best of teachers.
