Watts is a really funny and down-to-earth teacher. He's pretty young, so you can easily relate to him and he really tries to do the same on his side. His lectures can sometimes be really long and boring. I remember he did a whole class period on hurricane Katrina, which was really annoying because most of us were in Louisiana when it happened (he wasn’t yet) ... But overall, he teaches stuff that's not just in the book, which makes the class more interesting: he'll teach you general knowledge that you might recognize in every day life/news, which I thought was really nice.
Even though the material he teaches in class is easy, STUDY for his exams, because he's got some REALLY tricky exam questions that even he admits are hard. Read the book, because he asks a few questions straight from it. Going to class isn't a must, but it'll eventually help you for the exams. Also, learn your maps, there's one on each exam and it's worth a LOT of points.
