I did nothing the whole year and made a B (never attended a single class besides test days or read the book) Some of my friends that read the book and went to 75% of the classes also got a B, but all of us made Bs & Cs in ECON 2000. My friends that went to class every day and read the book thoroughly AND made As in ECON 2000 got As. I thought the dude was a tool GDI, but he grades fairly and curves generously (25 question tests, scores out of 20, so you can potentially earn a 120). Also old tests are a must... For the first test he used the exact test from the previous year and I got a 100.

Charles Roussel is a fantastic professor. He has an odd personality, but is very entertaining. Do not ever be late for his lecture or he will call you out in front of everyone. He tends to be high strung and quirky, but his intentions are good. He really wants you to learnt Economics, and is disappointed when you fail. The lab section is just smaller groups that meet up and answer sample exam questions using clickers. These "lab" sessions are very helpful. He lets you copy down each question and they serve as great study guides for the exam. You get participation for going to the labs, but the majority of the grade comes from the exams. The exams are very difficult, and in order to get an A, you will have to spend a lot of time practicing the sample questions and reading the book. Charles seems like a jerk in class, but one-on-one he is a really nice guy. His office hours were my ticket to an A, so go and see him as much as possible, he always gave me hints and tips. The material is interesting and if you have enough time to study, it should be a relatively easy A.
