Gilmer cant teach. He scribbles on the board and talks like he's reading out of a textbook. Fortunately the tests are easy. But don't expect to learn the material well.

Gilmer was great. Tests were very fair and covered a lot of material. The course (unlike calculus) is a bit more abstract. Some people just couldn't understand at all. Take this before 2030 (math ppl). No Proofs in class, if you dont like those.

At first I realized this guy was a shitty teacher. Then, I realized he knew this, so he made his test terribly easy. Not only that..he drops a test. The final is all four test, with the numbers changed. You are a retard if you cant get an A in this.

MATH 2090 is generally a hard course. However, Gilmer made it EASY! If you don't like applications, take Gilmer. He did just straight math. The problems on the final were the same ones from the tests.

This class is great but avoid Gilmer. Differential Equations is easy but the Linear Algebra can be tricky. I recommend this class to anyone but if you want a teacher that has a personality and that can teach, don't take Gilmer.

He's reminds me of a Canadian Al Franken, but not as funny though he still tries. He sometimes gets lost working problems on the board and seems unsure of himself, but his tests were very easy because he prepares students well. Boring but easy.

God I hate math.....Gilmer was alright, not the best, not the brightest, but his tests are pretty damn easy if you study.

I slacked off in this class because I had Calc in high school. Material wasn't any different, but Mr. Gilmer found a way to make his tests nothing like the homework. Not a bad teacher, just be prepared to work hard and study.

Gilmer is really easy if you had calc in high school, but if you've never had it this class might be difficult.

Helpful to have taken Calculus in high school - Gilmer drops the 3 out of 11 quizes and 1 out of 4 tests, if you go to class it is a breeze

Gilmer tries to help students and if you go to his office for help, he is more than willing to reteach until you understand. He's a pretty good calc teacher.

I Have never taken calculus before and i understood everything. I think Gilmer is really fair and most of his tests are pretty easy. I never talked to him outside of class so i dont know how accessible he is.
