Calc 2 is a pretty big pain. If I had to create an analogy, I would say it's like putting your leg in a woodchipper that you have to visit 4 times a week. Maciak isn't terrible but his accent is a little heavy and he is a bit scatterbrained. If you use the tutorial center (!!!!) to do your homeworks and study for tests you'll get at least a C. I spent many hours in the tutorial center though, probably 4 or 5 each week. If you put in the effort, you'll get the grade. Be sure to get him to tell the class the format of each test or he will just keep teaching new material and not give any heads up of what will be on the test.

Math 1550, if you get the right teacher, is okay. If you do the work you can get an A. However, if you end up with Maciak, drop AS SOON as you can!!! Reads straight from the text. PS. must know hyperbolic functions for his class.

Horrible teacher...showed no concern if you were confused...the head of the math dept said his tests were too hard for 1550...more than half the class still failed AFTER his curves

I hated going to this class everyday. The teacher made it very difficult to learn. He copies his notes directly from the book. He only works the example problems in the book. does not go over homework problems. stay away from this guy
