Doesn't matter if you get 100% on every lab and significantly higher than the class average on the exams. Still won't get an A. Even if the class average on tests is >50, he won't curve.

The only reason I don't recommend this class is because of the lack of preparation DeSouza had for our labs. Programs we were supposed to use were often wrong and wouldn't compile. The final was overambitious and near impossible.

I had DeSouza for every Digital class and I have to say, this one was his best. He spends most of his lectures reviewing Digital 1 and 2 material. Labs are very easy until the last 3. Still not a great professor, but at least he made this lab simple.

For the most part Dig. Log. I is easy, up until the end of the semester. De Souza thinks all of the material is a piece of cake, and if students ask questions he gets upset and says "its easy, why dont you understand?!?" Take someone else .

Anyone who tells you 2720 is an easy A had Skavantos. DeSouza's teaching ability does not match the questions he puts on his test. The material is pretty interesting, and the concepts easy, but DeSouza just complicates them.

To put it as simply as I can, De Souza is a rat bastard. I wish I could rant like I did for his evaluation but unfortunately there is a word limit on here. Just try to get a different teacher if you can.

de Souza is a great person, but there will be alot of confusion when is comes to predicting what will be on his tests. In the end, if he likes you, he will give you a large curve, but very risky. The material is easy, use example problems in the book

DeSouza is awesome! I hated him in digital I, but he's much cooler in II. He had a great personality, made the homeworks actually possible, and the tests were pretty straightforward. Much more interesting material than digital I too.

I didn't like DeSouza like many, but in the end you really only learn the material good from him cause he pushes so hard. By the way I made no higher then a 84 on my two test, and a 75 on the final and made an A. Thats an example of his curve.

Suck up and you will do fine. He is generous to individual attention. Which is why i recommend him in the summer (smaller classes).

De Souza really blows. That nasty sweaty belly of his is totally grotesque and understanding him is sometimes a bigger task then the class itself. Maybe if you lick his sweaty belly he might give you an A.

DeSouza is not a great teacher. He doesn't communicate well and expects you to already know things from circuits I. That being said, he is very fair with grading (he has a massive curve usually) and really does care about the students.

He teaches well, although he tends to go very fast without explaining material properly. Come to class, very important. And do as many practice problems as possible, its the ONLY way to survive the exams.

Avoid De Souza at all costs! His notes are worthless and his tests are ridiculous, vaguely related to what he teaches! And god help you if you have a grading problem or miss a homework assignment, he just doesn't care about his students.

People say bad things about De Souza, but he's actually a decent teacher and is very fair. The only problem with this class is that the midterm and final are worth over half the grade.

cool class, i didnt go to lecture that much, so "how can i say?" Desouza was good, if you can get T.A. AHMED he was really awesome, the lab was fun, much better than electronics.

The only reason I recomment DeSouza is because it's inevitable to have him for the lab and having him for Digital II, guarentees that you're introduced to what you need to know. That's the only positive thing I have to say about the man or class.

Expect the unexpected on the tests for DeSouza. Make sure you understand the hardest of concepts to be able to do well on the tests. He's got a bad reputation for being too hard, which I can see that point, but he's just passionate about the course
