GAYDA R (BIOL)

The information taught in this course is very confusing and hard. Good to have a biology or chemistry class before this so you can know more about what the slides say. His grading scale is awesome.. I think a 85 was an A. He gives you study questions that you can find the answers to on noteswap. The questions helped for the last two tests but not so much the first two. I wouldn't recommend this class if you don't need it but if you have to take it, you will survive and pass with a pleasing grade. I thought I was going to fail and i ended up with a B!

Gayda is really a character, I would definitely recommend taking his class because his grading scale is easier (normally an 85 is an A) plus he does a random sign up sheet that he passes out in class 10 different times, if you sign it each time (or get a friend to) you will get 10 bonus points added to your final grade. HELPS A LOT! take him and go to class (or take turns with a friend)

He's a really nice guy and wants you to do well. In his class a 84% was an A. It is a lot of material though. Other reviews said that his practice tests were exactly like his real tests but that was only kinda true for the second two tests. The first two test were hard to me because he's able to put tricky questions on them (he did so make sure you read the questions very carefully) and he didn't take many questions from the practice exams. The second two tests he did take more questions from the practice tests but that's not the main reason they are easier. They are easier because the material is on bacteria and viruses which is pretty straightforward stuff and he can't make tricky questions from that material. So don't get too upset if you don't do well at first. I got low C's on the first two tests but got high A's on the second two and got an A in the class. Make sure you go to class because he gives out 10 participation out throughout the semester and those are a BIG grade booster too!!!

You have to go to this class. Its super easy to blow off because he posts his notes, but the test questions come from class discussions!

Tests were 75% straight from the review questions. Lectures covered a lot of information, but he posts all notes online.

BORINGGG!!!! all he does is read his powerpoints WORD FOR WORD and the powerpoints are available on his website. I did good in this class, but most ppl had a lot of trouble!! doesn't used blackboard or semester book, so you never know what you have!

He's not bad since he is the only teacher and he has to curve in order to save the entire class from failing

i went to every class and it was pointless. i could've gotten the same grade without going to class ever. his test were unreal.

This class is very interesting and informative. You hardly ever stay the entire time. You will become a psycho about handwashing, though.

If it weren't for the curve, everyone would fail. It's a very challenging class. Gayda is SO boring...but so sweet. Go to class to get points!

Gayda is so corny...its hilarious...hes so nice and he basically gives you the test through the practice questions...go to class because the sign in bonus help out ALOT

He gives study questions---DO THEM- THEY ARE THE TEST QUESTIONS!! Just have to take the time to get the answers to the questions

Gayda is a cool dude. Questions come directly from the study questions that he gives. Very easy class. He is hilarious.

Very energetic man. Semi-interesting material. Sign in sheet bonus points. The exams can be difficult. MUST STUDY.

He was the only guy teaching the course. He is not bad since he provides study guides for the tests.

Gayda is a sweetheart, he genuinely cares about how his students do in his class. You really didnt have to go to his class because he puts his notes on the net and he curves a lot. Most material was interesting

Mr. Gayda provides extensive online notes and study questions, tho he is not very available to addess questions. Easy to understand lectures and exams. Material very valuable for future classes.
