All time favorite teacher at LSU. by FAR.
It may be a lot of work, but Mwalimu is the most understanding and funny person ever. He takes lotssss of time to explain EVERYthing and his personality makes class very enjoyable.
Fun subject and interacting small class. it really sucks this program was cancelled cause I feel to have benefitted greatly from the course and instructor.

I am NOT a studious person, so after the first few weeks in Swahili with Mwalimu Deo I thought that I would fail for sure. I quickly got accustomed to his grading though and it made everything better.
Absolutely best personality of a professor I have ever had. Never came in a bad mood, told hilarious little jokes, and just an overall amazing character. The course is very elementary. Tests are difficult, but very little homework & if you go to class Mwalimu will give you better than a passing grade.
I was 90% sure I bombed the final, because of my lack of studying, but Mwalimu gave me an A in the class.
He is a perfect teacher and really grades based on your effort, not on tests/quizzes.

Mwalimu is a great guy! Some people think he's tough but if you COME TO CLASS and just pay attention, he'll acknowledge that you're trying and go easy on you. Grades hard but rarely gives anyone less than a B in the end.
