PRIDE-SHAW S (CMST)

Quizzes once a week, reading is required for an A in the course. Her exams are okay, she focuses on details that you may miss in the book. about 35 questions each test, barely and curve. Attendance required because notes and book notes are on the test. Does drop lowest grade. Studying is required!!! Not a blowoff class!

DO NOT TAKE RE RE SHAW! She isn't a bad teacher, but her teaching abilities are horrible. 4 exam (she drops 1), 12 quizzes (she drops 2) and 1 research-participation assignment (easy!). Shaw's test are not hard, but her material that she tests you on is inconsistent. She expects you to know everything covered in the chapters plus her lecture material. Well, her lectures are TOTALLY different from what the book covers. She is a real sweet individual, but she is one of the worst teachers I have taken. If you have her, just make sure you go to class or get the notes from a friend or online. She isn't hard, but her teacher style is stupid. Oh and don't take her 740am class like I did...big mistake!

She gives bonus for going to class. You need to go to get notes because the exams come straight from the notes. She is a good teacher, and she tells us manyyy stories about her personal life. I found her entertaining.

She liked to call herself a b**** and didn't have very good communication skills for someone in her field. The content was silly, but if you study you can get an A. I don't recommend - take speech instead.

By far the worst teacher i've ever had, EVER. Must go to class to get the notes and take pop quizzes. Thinks this is your only class and top priority, ITS NOT! Her study guides are the topic headings from the book so they are basically useless. AWFUL

Good teacher but her test questions were quite tricky. she also gives bonus for going to class. one project (a paper) that seems like a lot of work but it is pretty easy. also she does not round so it sucks when you end up with an 89.983 like i did.

She really was nice at first. then became cranky. lots of info to learn on test, but doable. she does have an option to opt out on final exam if satisfied with grade. easy class and interesting too

This class was pretty easy, but you have to go to class to get the notes and points for quizes. I recommend this class, just not at 7:30 because you have to go

Make sure you read the material before each class, you can bet there will be a quiz once a week!! Tests were harder than they needed to be, but material is VERY interesting. Make sure you study, its not an easy A, but very possible.Paper is very easy

ReRe is good teacher and really sweet! Just be prepared for the pop quizzes by reading your chapters before class.

Re Re was awesome, she is super nice and makes getting an A easy. She explains everything and tells you how to make an A in the class, Class attendence is a 50/50 thing.

Easy class.. she takes attendance for extra credit.. you kinda need to go for the notes anyway. A little bit of studying.. Didn't take the final b/c she drops a test. Pretty easy!

Her tests are ridiculous. The book has nothing to do with the lectures in class. Both are widely covered on each exam. I studied forever and still got a B!! Cancels class a lot - NOT AN EASY A!!!

you have to study for her tests to make an A. she asks tricky questions and there are not many extra assignments for her class to bring up your grade if you dont do well on a test.

Teacher is bi-polar. Good luck trying to figure out her tests , it's like they were written by Yoda. Don't let the soft voice fool you. Stay away!

ReRe was an easy teacher but dont expect anything out of her outside of class... my grandfater died and I was out of town for a week and she refused to let me re-take my test even when i brought the obituary!

Her notes are vague and test is on the book and notes, riduculous ?s, thinks this class is everyones priority when its not!

Interesting class. She makes you read the book, half of the test is from the lecture and other half from the book. Takes attendance for bonus points. Computer-based exams. She cancels class often!!!!!!

"ReRe" Sandra, whatever, Pride-Shaw is the WORST 'instructor' I have had in 2 years at LSU; the class is EXCRUTIATINGLY detailed and boring and her teaching ability is HORRIFIC; AVOID HER AND CMST 2010 like the plague!

She was awesome. She is funny and she cancels class like once a week. She curved almost every exam by a lot. Also, she gives extra credit for going to class the few days that you have to. Also a plus- the class was interesting. TAKE HER!!

Pride-Shaw is the best teacher I've ever had. She cares and the class is easy. You don't really have to go to class if you can get the notes from someone. The tests are pretty easy- but you must study!

ReRe does nothing but play favorites in her class, during and in-between mood swings. She cares nothing about you, or your grade, unless you're one of her "pets". Do yourself a favor and avoid her like SARS!!!

UNORGANIZED, POOR SUBJECT KNOWLEDGE, & WILL INTENTIONALLY GRADE CERTAIN STUDENTS SHE DISLIKES SIGNIFICANTLLY LOWER. DON'T LET THE KINDERGARDEN TEACHER VOICE FOOL YOU! STAY AWAY!

ReRe was not very a good teacher. She never really seemed to care about her students, and picked favorites which was clearly seen. She graded not on content, but on whether she liked you or not.

She has major mood swings and isn't very helpful!!!

ReRe is very subjective in her grading and she will NOT respond to e-mails unless one of her "favorites" asks her a question after class.
