For the lab there are 3 slaughter labs where you actually watch (and participate if you want to) animals being slaughtered and then for the other days of lab you cut up meat. If you are squemish in the beginning of the class you won't be by the end.

McMillin is an ok teacher. I've definitely had better. 4060 as a class is no good in its self. It is a very boring class. Hard to stay awake. You need to be hard core ANSC major to enjoy the class.

HARDEST class I ever took. Tests are SOOO hard. Labs are not for the squimish. He does give SUPER curve at the end because eveyone fails.

This is a really good class to take to learn about all the issues involved in animal science and how they shape the decisions that the agricultural industry faces.
