VERTIGAN D (MATH)

LOVE HIM! Wears blue jean shorts and a white button up shirt EVERYDAY. If your good in math take him because all he does it write on the board. You cant understand what he says, so I just listened to my ipod and copied what he wrote on the board. No homework, but he will give you problems if you want to look at some and then go over them in class. He would lecture for two days then go over homework the third. Very structured class and great teacher because I understood math already. Definitely a cool teacher.

I had never taken any kind of calculus before this class and Vertigan made me want to learn more about it. He is friendly and clearly wants you to learn and help you succeed. Tests are tough and you need to know what you are doing to excel

Vertigan does a fairly good job teaching a hard subject. Kind of a weird guy but pretty nice.Definitely recommended

He's a little odd, but if you've ever had calculus before this class is very easy. I usually studied the night before a few hours and got A's on the tests.

Dr. Vertigan is terrible. He is an atheist creep who wore the same exact clothes everyday. He doesnt look like he has bathed in days. He is very vague and extremely impatient. If you dont understand he doesnt care! Dont take him!

he has no personality and will never make eye contact with the class, only grab his beard and look in the corner. he knows his stuff and is very detailed but moves fast and only has tests for grades

Vertigan is a great teacher--his exam review is very helpful. Just make sure you do the homework.

Excellent teacher, writes on the board entire class, doesn't start cutting jokes until later in semester, but tests all have one bonus question (10Q+1B)

If you took Calculus in high school, you will make an A. Easy questions. But it could be hard to learn for the first time.

Do NOT miss the day before the tests. Reviews are exactly like the tests and he helps you out with examples. Kind of hard to understand and can't read his handwritting.

Don't take this class unless you have to and if you do, make sure you DO NOT take Vertigan....he doesnt explain how to do the problems, talks over your head, and keeps his back to you at all times...he never once looked away from the board

Vertigan is awesome.. if you have a dry sense of humor you'll like him... he's fair and that's all you need from a teacher

If you have a math background he's easy. If not, get someone else because he can't teach.

Told you what was going to be on the test, provided study outlines, gave out answer keys after the tests, and was very prompt with giving you your grades.

he calls "ln" log instead of natural log and doesn't give partial credit. His test are corny kindergarten mix and match type, so no partial credit and you have these frequent quizzes.

He was great! I liked going to his class and he made it easy to understand. He gave lots of partial credit on tests which helped a lot. It showed he understood that not everyone's perfect all the time.

Taught straight from book also helpful during office hours.

Not bad, just take notes.

vertigan is the best math teacher ever period. he grades extremly lenient and helps out whenever you need it.
