Dr. Platt uses this class to indoctrinate students with his opinions, having 0 tolerance for others: if you ask a question that doesn't align with his political beliefs, he will embarass you and threaten to fail you if you don't change to his belief.

This was the worst class of my entire college carreer. The students put in 100 times more effort into the class than Platt does. He makes his TA do all the work. I strongly urge you to take another class! Expect to work you butt off and get nothing!

More assignments and presentation than I expected. Test were long and TA was sometimes picky about answers. Platt is a nice guy though, but subject didn't appeal to me. Take if you are interested in sustainable development.
