Run away!Gaarde speaks softly and does not teach! Be prepared to teach yourself.The notes you take in class won't help you for the tests.Easy quiz at every class.Lots of homeworks.Take Giammanco !

This class is horrible but Gaarde tries to make it a little better. She gives an easy quiz everyday so you have to go to class and she has a great personality.

VERY soft-talker...sit in the front if you have to take her. her quizzes are really easy (she lets you work in groups)..she's just not that great of an instructor.

physics is a very demanding course no matter who the professor is. dr gaarde, however, makes the course too demanding wit h the amount of webassign she assigns. as well, she talks in a very low voice. from what i hear though, she is better than most

Gaarde is a good teacher, but speaks softly so you might want to sit in front. Is very good at explaining concepts, especially when compared to some physics teachers. She gives daily quizzes, which gets quite annoying. Better than Kirk or Rupnik.

Decent teacher, but didn't believe in curving. Her tests contain many of the checkpoints from the chapters.
