Review #1 / Course: PSYC 2017 / Instructor: BECK M
Beck is nice and makes the best of dull material. As a PSYC major, I've been exposed to most of the topics in this class already, but the tests can be difficult. Go to class because she gives extra credit. Weekly groupwork-based lab is not too difficult. My TA (Dallas Callaway) was a very effective instructor and always willing to help. In addition to tests and attendance in lab, there's also a 15-page essay due at finals. Not as bad as it sounds...it's APA formatted with lots of tables/figures.

I really enjoyed this course. I don't like biology, but it was a great course for the bio requirement for psyc majors. Dr. Beck explains the material pretty well and tests are straightforward. Just read the book and go to class and you'll do fine.
