The material is hAAARRRRDDDD, but Forrest is probably the best teacher i have ever had. He takes this ridiculously hard material and breaks it down for you. IF you go to class and do everything he says (like make that notebook) you will have a super advantage. Quizzes are open classroom so be BOLD and talk!

Forrest is AMAZING! The absolute best math teacher I have ever had! He explains concepts thoroughly. He gives group quizzes and allows you to bring a definitions notebook to the exams. Great teacher!

If you have to take 2090, take it with Forrest. 2090 deals with a lot of abstract math concepts (i.e. vector spaces), and he lets you have a "definitions" notebook on all the tests and the final. Exams and homework can be tricky.

He was actually my 1021 teacher but he wasn't isted under 1021 teacher. He's a pretty good teacher and adorable; he reminds me of someone that would be on jeoprady. Take him if you can.

Class was fun. Don't be fooled, it won't help you much in Calc 3, as it was designed to do. Assignments aren't exactly easy at times, but Mathematica is really cool.

Mathematica is very difficult to understand, but Martin Forrest is always there to help and answer any questions you have. He does, however, grade a little difficult (there are 9-20 point assignments and one 50 pt. final project).

Forrest's expectations on any given assignment are never very clear, but he's willing to help if you ask. In general, I learn new computer programs quickly, but after this class, I still can't use mathematica. The textbook isn't helpful.

Mr. Forrest was really cool. He works through a lot of examples so you definitely get familiar with the material. The tests can be long but are very fair and he gives group quizzes.

This prof is worth killing for...forrest has an amazing ability to make you see the fundamentals; besides mathematica is useful throughout for all engr and physical science majors

Forrest is great if you want to learn a little Mathematica® beware the definitions notebook because you can use it on the final :-). Forrest is cool about grading and you should get an a if you try.

forest is cool, old tests he posts on his site help a lot, but for most part..if you do most of homework and study old tests an A is not hard to get

Mr. Forrest is a great teacher...there's nothing absolutely wonderful, or absolutely horrible, he's there to teach you, and he does that well. The tests are a little difficult, and I definitely put in quite a bit of time studying for them.
