I'll be completely honest - the people who are saying this class was easy either have a background in biology, studied consistently every day, or they can just ace any class. It was difficult. I studied, went to every single class and even went to SI. He gives you the option to buy his notepacket - DO IT! And when he gives clicker quizzes...make sure you go to class, they aren't graded for accuracy. But sometimes he will hand out a note card so you have to write down your answers, so don't give your clicker to your friend. Go to class. It will only help you. His pre tests are great, only because it gives you a heads up what is on the test. His tests, however, are very tricky. Oh, and write down your clicker quizzes down...i've had several of the same questions on my exams or they're almost identical. We only covered 17 chapters, compared to other classes..that's nothing. He goes way into depth, while other 1201 classes, not so much. If you are pre-med, pre-vet, etc. then take his class because he prepares you for those future classes. If you aren't, then take another 1201 class. But, overall, he is very passionate about what he does and he even prints out the questions you got wrong on exams so you can look over them and ask questions. He is tough, but a good professor.
