If you aren't into nature, then do NOT take this class. You go on several trips to creeks, swamps, fields, etc. Also, WAY too much work is required for the class to be worth only one hour. Lab reports, proposals, homework writing assignments. I was lucky to get a B. Don't do it!

Not a fun course, but mandatory. The experiments were just not fun or interesting. I had Fang He, who has a strong accent, but is a good guy and works with you to improve your grade. I'd take him again compared to some of the other TA's out there.

Watch out for Erin Lawrence.... She's horrible.. Don't expect to get graded papers back or ever know what is coming on quizzes and exams.

I had Dr. N. Minor. Her tests are impossible. I would study for hours and made a C on every test. NOT recommended! She's inexperienced and DOESNT curve.

This is by far the wost class I have ever taken. If Stephanie Gross is your TA, switch while you still can. Very ambiguos and goes back on what she says.

I'm grading my lab instructor Joel! The coolest lab instuctor ever! Grades easy..lets us out early. He isnt foreign so you def will not have trouble understanding! He was all around great! I got lucky! Hopefully, you'll get lucky and get him too.

NOTHING 2 Worry About! Course is VERY easy! Longest Lab was probly 2 Hours Max! Everything to study is on the Given website! Just be Prepared Before Labs for EASY quiz! If ur lucky, U may get lab partners that do most the work! Its actually kinda FUN

The most pointless class at LSU. Be prepared to be bored. Make sure that you can understand your TA. Prepare for the final a lot. It is extremely difficult.

Good comprehensive scope of biology, however the amount of work you have to put in to get an A is entirely too much for a one hour course. Wayy too anal about the writing assignment and rough draft; grade suffers for trivial procedures

Cheryl Haines isn't exactly the best TA out there. Showed up late for lab as well as expected us to know what we were doing. Normally teaches upper level classes.

Richard Dewell was a very boring teacher.He graded the final grades on what he thought you should get.. Also, he doesn't grade all of your reports until the end of the semester, so you don't even know if you are doing well or not.

1209 sucks.def study for the quizzes. the final's okay except you have to know what every organism looks like and be able to recognize it, its hard as hell. be prepared.

1209's a pain, cuz it's 3 hrs long, but i had K Pattan, she was okay but she was very unclear at times and her questions were retarded and made no sense. not too horrible though, easy class.

Baran Turall was a really nice guy but hard to understand, we had fun in this lab class though and it was a great experience; it was challenging but not impossible;if u can, take 1201 with it so studying is easier

mrs. maddi is a good teacher but very hard to understand - but when asked, would do your lab for you. the TA's help was a major thing in this class. don't take a teacher you don't understand (atleast not for lab)

The class was a pain at times, but Ben Hanelt will teach you a lot, and it's worth it in the end. Ben's very helpful and very enthusiastic. If you actually want to learn, take Ben!

I had Ben Hanelt for bio 1001- the class was okay, but the tests were horrible...it didn't seem to matter how much you studied, you still did bad. I finally had to drop the class.
