Nyman will definitely make you prepared for other English classes or writing classes, but its a pain to get there. Way too much time required outside of class. Good class for liberals though.

Nyman is the definition of a bad teacher, your grade is not determined by the effort you put in the paper or your skills as a writer, if Nyman likes you, your grade is good, if not well.........I agree with the feminist nazi aspect of her too ;)

She was clear about what she wanted yet her grading was a little vague at times. A good amount of readings and in class assignments were given which were pretty easy.. her final portfolio scheme is very uninteresting, uninspired, and dull.

Tania was really a bitch at times. The portfolio methode was a pain in the ass. You have to get on her good side or get ready for a long semester. You don't really learn anything at all. Maybe she got some b/c she is nicer.

I didn't think i would ever like poetry, but i learned a lot in Ms. Nyman's class. She is a great teacher who tries hard to keep you interested. she cares about her students and gives extra effort to help them out in any way she can.

This teacher has a big attitude problem. It takes her forever to grade the journal entries so you really don't know how well you did on them (if she even reads them)! For the sake of your patience and your grade DO NOT TAKE HER!
