Dr. Sullivan was a great teacher. If you are having trouble go to her office. She is more than willing to help.

Lecture notes are very detailed but she likes to ask ridiculous questions on the test that are very picky. Beware: she has multiple choice options such as "All the above, none of the above, two of the above". Memorize those notes back and forth. Lab is fun and easy. Lecture exams are difficult. This class broke my 4.0 :(

Sullivan wasnt too bad. If your taking micro its because it is required. For her tests you dont have to read the book. I know all of her reviews say to memorize the notes, and they are right you literally have to memorize the notes, the lab isnt too bad, way better than biol 1208 or 1209 just study a lot for mid term and final because they arent messing around. But yah straight memorize sullivans notes word for word, make notecards whatever but know her notes.

Dr. Sullivan was a great instructor and BIOL 3116 was by far the funnest and easiest upper level class I've taken so far. If youre a Microbiology major, this course is required but I would recommend it to biol majors also. Loved it.

You don't need the textbook. Just memorize the notes word-for-word. Know every detail (even the seemingly unimportant ones). You can get the notes off Noteswap. I never even read a paragraph in my textbook. The tests have tricky wording, and sometimes require you to remember details. You must memorize all the details in the notes (eg what bacteria causes what disease). You must study very hard 3-4 days before the test. I suggest studying the weekend before. If you cram the night before, it will be hard to get an A.

she is a great teacher and pretty to look at. i enjoyed this class. she puts outlines on SB and then you just fill in the blank. don't buy the book just read your notes over and over again. it's all word vomit. i found it very interesting though.

Sullivan was great. She had a great personality and kept things interesting.The tests were not that hard but asked for tiny details so the notes you must memorize. The lab is really really easy.

Sullivan is great. Know the material inside and out for the tests (which is fair since she gives you EVERYTHING you need in her notes). She gives a 5 bonus opportunity for each test.

Great and interesting class. The tests were tricky though, it's not just strict memorization you have to know your stuff. Not that much outside preparation and the lab was fun.

Hands down the easiest class I've ever taken at LSU. Virtually no outside time required. Review the notes once the night before the test and you have a guarenteed A. Sullivan is also hot.

This class was very interesting but the tests were very tricky and hard, she tries to confuse you alot. If you take her make sure you have understood everything in her notes. The lab is fun.

This class is horrible at LSU, Take it elsewhere if possible. The lab is 45% of your grade and if you don't do well in that kiss that A goodbye.

Class moves so fast that you just find yourself filling in blanks rather than learning material. If you don't have time to study regularly like me, prepare to pull 8-10 hours studying the day before a test if you want an A.

In this class, i learned to take notes at light speed. I learned next to nothing. She taught nothing, only read lecture notes. Outside of class she is very nice though. Probably the worst professor i have ever had as far as TEACHING goes.

Sullivan is nice, only problem is she talks a mile a minute. Her tests are also worded hard, but the material on them is not bad. There is nothing on the exam that was no in our notes.

THe content wasn't hard, but the way the tests were worded is what made it hard. WHen I looked over my tests, I knew the answer to almost every question. Pay attention to wording

I only went to class a couple of times, if you get the notes from other students and study your ass off 3 or 4 days before each exam you will be fine.

The exam questions are so much trickier than they need to be for this course. You can think you know the material well, but it ends up being a measure of whether or not you're a good test taker...kinda sucks if you're hoping for an A.

Sullivan's lecture test are unfair and confusing. I have an A in the lab and a low D in the lecture because of her test questions. Do not take her no matter what you hear! Trust Me!

Her tests are VERY DIFFICULT! She does not have a clue about what is going on and cannot explain the material well!

I took this class in summer school, and I highly reccomend doing that. Prof. Sullivan is an intresting teacher and tests come straight from her notes.

This class consists of the lecture and the lab. i enjoyed the lab but not the lecture. the lecture is boring. there were 4 tests and the last 3 were hard not b/c of the content but b/c the way the instructor asked.

Tests were pretty much straight from the notes. I didn't pick up the book once. There was a lot of information to know, though.
