Dr. Stater is a great professor, he knows his stuff and has a dry sense of humor. There's a lot of notes but the exams are easy, choose a few short IDs, a short essay on a reading and then a long essay. Also a 5-10 page paper but he's not a hard grader and always available outside of class

Stater was awesome!! He gives a lot of material, but grades very fairly and is very nice. Tests are a lot, but easy. I regret not taking his other class.

Funny guy. He makes going to class fun, and plus the class is interesting. I feel like there isn't enough time to properly answer all the essays on the test, but that isn't really his fault.

He's a good guy, willing to help. The test are on Euro. History, get a good sum of the books for the test, prepare what you want to say on the essays and REMEMBER ALLWAYS TYPE THE KEY TERMS AND PLACES AT THE START OF CLASS, they make up the ID's

The class is great but watch out for the psycho TA's (Heather Thornton), this girl wouldn't give a historian an A on a test.

This is a really boring class but the teacher is okay. He gives you all the essays before the test. If you study and go to class this class is a breeze. The TAs are aweful though.

interesting lectures, only essay tests, have to read 5 books outside class, drops 1 bad quiz and 1 bad test, gives good study guides, TA grades relatively hard (likes lots of detail on tests, ie: dates, names, examples in history)

Stater is kinda funny. Class isnt that hard, but the grades are a little worse than youll expect, nothing to really fret over though if actually study. I strongly recommend Stater if your going to take this course.

Some may think he is boring, but he throws in these random things that get your attention. His class does not take a lot of up keep, except for books. Yes there are a lot of books 4-5! However, he is a really good teacher!
