Course is a C. herbert doesn't make it that much easier. goes over really fast and has horrible hand writing. some reading is required, practice is a must and mystatlab hw. I'm sure theres someone easier than him.

I was told to stay clear of Herbert, turns out he's one of my favorite teachers thus far. In class he's funny and willing to answer any questions. Gives study guide with sample questions that are just like the test. Text book is not needed and he does not take attendance.

Don't listen to people that say herbert is a jerk or hard. The class isn't a piece of cake but herbert is a really good teacher and the tests are easy. he prepares you for the exams.

this is seriously the most boring class i've ever taken. herbert is nice but the material sucks and he doesn't teach well. basically, you need to do A LOT of outside work (teaching yourself) to understand what is going on. he's willing to help you outside of class. get old tests and you'll know what to look for.

Mr. Herbert was one of the worst teacher's I have ever had in my life. If there is any way you can take another professor--DO IT. He has his own way of doing things, and the problem is that it isn't the students way of doing it.
He only knows how to explain a problem one way and if you don't understand his way then you are going to have a very hard time in his class.
Only take this class if it is absolutely required and if at all possible don't take him!!

No one in their right mind would take this class by choice. Hebert is a tool and I would suggest taking it from any other instructor instead. The Greeks have his old tests and you should too if you want to make a decent grade in the class.

I have never had another teacher as bad as him. He goes through the notes fast and hard to follow.The week of test you better study around 15 hours if you want an A on the test. Gets pissed if you come late to class. Doesn't care about the students.

This class was so easy at the beginning...but I screwed up the final and it killed me. He is pretty boring, just writes the notes on the projector..and his left hand is perpetually in the way, but he was a pretty nice man. Don't blow it at the end

If you go to class everyday you can make an A w/ out studying. Hebert cares about class. Doesn't mind skippers or walking out of the class. Laid back. 3 test + final. Only hard to make an A because so few questions on tests (about 20). EASY

Take him. He prepares review sheets for every exam, and the exam is very similar. The only bad thing is each exam has only 18 or 20 questions. He helped me in office hours, and was a thorough teacher.

The only problem I had with his class was he did not teach the same as the book, he did give practice tests prior to exam, so you know what the tests were like, need to study lots!!
