I absolutely cannot stand Bankston. He's about 70 years old and should have retired decades (not years) ago. He doesn't use the internet, so you can't email him about anything because he won't answer. He locks you out of the class 5 minutes after it started, and knock all you want, he won't open the door for you, even 30 seconds after he's closed it (I was in the hallway when he did it, and knocked loudly for 10 minutes, no one opened the door). He writes the day's outline on the board, but he's got the worst penmanship, so sit in the front. When he lectures, he just goes on and on, and has a BIG tendency to stop in the middle of a sentence and start another one that has nothing to do with what he just said… Guess his brain’s connections are going bad (I’m trying to be nice, but it’s really hard with this teacher). If you miss even ONE class, you're pretty much f***ed, because he won't help you, and he covers a LOT of material in just one class period. His exams are just like him: old, grumpy, and hard. Knowing the material isn't enough: you have to be able to compare everything you've been "taught". The final is cumulative, which isn't good for your grade. I had to look up everything on the internet to complete the notes from class, because a lot of it just doesn’t make much sense. The material he teaches is boring in itself, which doesn't help. He doesn’t like it if you ask a question in class either. Simply put: AVOID Bankston at ALL COSTS!

Stay away from Dr. Bankston. It might be difficult considering he is usually the only one who teaches the class, but you've been warned. The man cannot teach and doesn't care how he teaches the material.

Take this class only if you have to...I've never been so miserable in my life. Bankston doesn't care about you or the information he presents...

He makes information that is easy so hard to understand. Read the book and go to class or you'll be lost. Also he sporadically gives extra credit quizzes that REALLY help you at the end of the year. I got all of them and went from a C to a B..

The whole class is memorization. Just re-write what he says in class on the exams and you will be fine.

He will bore you to tears, but he will cover all test material in class. If you can stay awake. His test are fair.

Tests were short answer and essay but he lets you drop your lowest score, I didn't have to take the final (summer).
