This class is not as easy as it seems. There is a lot of information to take in, and it is easy to get confused. Dr. Butcher is great, she curves the final grades, mainly because of the 8-point scale. She also gives great examples for the material.

You think it will be easy, but you are very wrong. She grades very particular on your speeches, and the midterm is pulled from all over... you have to go to class to turn in all of your writing assignments which are, once again, graded very harshly.

joni was a nice lady, but she was so subjective with her grading on the speeches. for an easy A, i would try another professor

We had quizzes but they're scheduled so you know when they are and they're pretty easy- theres a lot of reading and activities due but it's easy to get an A... she curved the grades 18 points at the end of the semester!

Cmst and Butcher are both fairly easy to tolerate. But do not overlook her final; its a beast. As long as you read over your notes you should do fine.

Good teacher, boring like any other speech class, but my section was an exception w/ other sec. bc we didn't have to do as much speaking as others. We had group project, not very hard and individual speaking in front of the class. Not bad

ahhhhh Butcher is ok but is very strict on grading scale. You must perform and it becomes very subjective. She's strict on not giving .05 of a point though..oh well

One of the best teachers i've ever had. She's cool, her class is interesting, you learn alot and can do very well. Grade consists of 4 speeches, and midterm and final exams.
