MOKEBA H (POLI)

Mokeba is funny and his class is interesting. He assigns a couple of big papers and news paper reading. He is a fairly hard grader, he doesn't give a lot of A's. Visiting him during office hours and speaking up in class are musts in his classes. He likes to know his student. He doesnt use Moodle and I get the impression that he doesn't like technology (he doesn't have a cell phone) so if you need anything skip the email and just go talk to him.

Good professor. His accent takes some getting used to, and he has no email address or Moodle account. All essay test. Only criticism is that it is hard to know what is needed for a A.

Mokeba rocks! The only complaint I have is that with grading, he seemed to "throw darts" to determine your grade. Regardless, the class was enjoyable!

Mokeba is a good teacher and a passionate lecturer. Very interesting material that is applicable to everyday life, relying heavily on current events and NYT journal articles. NYT quizzes were too difficult and arbitrary.

I love Mokeba...have had him twice, but this class is SOOO boring! The information is boring, the assignments are boring, overall...I was very disappointed with the class (not him...the class)!

Mokeba is a great teacher and he's passionate about what he teaches. Talk in his class, otherwise he won't know you or care of you...he loves to joke, so be brave, joke back!

Mokeba is hard to understand and his grading is also hard to understand but he does keep the class interesting. Once you understand how he works the class is easier.

Dr. Mokeba is a great prof. He has an interesting personality and if you read it wrong you may think that he is mean; he isn't just sarcastic and he like to poke fun... great guy, greay class.

talks very fast and things he writes on the board you cant understand - - but overall he is a very good teacher, in your essays you have to know facts - - if you can support your ideas you will do well.

Mokeba is a good professor but can not stand lazy students. Come prepared to learn, and if you aren't interested in politics, don't put yourself through it.

Mokeba was fine, the class was dull. Only take it if you need it for poli sci.

Mokeba's not the second coming as some make him out to be, but all in all he's a good teacher. African politics was kind of dry but he made it bearable.

Mokeba moves quickly, but is interesting. If you can, type your notes, or your hands will fall off. Test questions are straight from lecture. I highly recommend this professor.

tests are essay-based with unclear topics; no comments are left as to what was good/bad about answers given. highly NOT recommended instructor.

Dr Mokeba is funny, witty and you are bound for an interesting semester if you take him.

Mokeba is amazing. The material is interesting, but sometimes boring. Took his night class and stayed 2 hrs, typed 10 pages of notes each time. I had a 75 and he gave me a B. Take Mokeba he'll change your life.

Mokeba is the man. He is a great teacher, very sharp, and will make fun of the students if given an opportunity, making the class relax. Take him even if you dont need the class. One of the best teachers ive had at LSU

Best class and professor i've had at LSU-he's halarious and even if you know nothing about it--he makes you really interested in the material--tests come from his awesome lectures--no need to bother with the confusing text with his easy explanations

Mokeba grades very hard...you have 2 papers and 3 essay exams...too much work

Nice guy, but very tough on grading, you only have a few points, so it's easy to drop to a B, requires a lot of memorizing, but ultimately very doable

Mokeba is awesome and he always lets you out early but his accent makes it hard to understand. He rewards people who participate in class discussions.

He has a strong accent and reads straight from his notes. This makes lectures very very dull. Occasionally he makes a wisecrack, but overall he's very boring.

Mokeba is incredible. If you talk a little in class he'll either like you b/c your intelligent or love you b/c your that stupid. He'll make you laugh a lot in every class. The best teacher at LSU hands down. You'll truly enjoy any class he teaches.

How can you not like Mokeba. Talk a little in class and he will love you whether your stupid or intelligent. He's very liberal but incredible to take.

Dr. Mokeba is an overall good teacher but goes EXTREMELY fast and your hand will fall off I promise, Also a kind hard to understand

This class is pretty easy, but Dr. Mokeba has a thick accent and is hard to understand at times. The notes are real jumbled and there is no real flow to the class. Mokeba is a nice guy and will crack a joke some, but hard to understand.

he makes class interesting. exams arent too bad but you really need to know all the notes and its hard to write all you need in the time given.

Dr. Mokeba is one of the best professors at LSU. This was one of the best classes I have ever taken here. If Mokeba is teaching any class, make sure to get in it.

It's very difficult to do well in this class with Dr. Mokeba's grading system. He rates performance compared to others, not your overall one. So if someone write a good essay question, it will set the standard. If noone does, everyone is penalized
