Review #1 / Course: HIST 7959 / Instructor: LEWIS C
I recommend 7959 because the material varies among professors; this class was one on "women's history," but instead, seemed to be more of a 3-hour weekly diatribe on feminism and the weaknesses and terrible men, with any "history" being very "one-sided" and skimpy. I have yet to forgive the history department for making me take this class, should have been crosslisted with WGS. Lewis grades easily, brought food to most class meetings, and I think those passionate about the subject liked it, but it was not for me.

TAKE LEWIS! Easiest history class at LSU. Three online quizzes, two papers, and one cumulative final. Go to class for bonus opps and don't slack off. If you do really well on everything leading up to the final, you only need like a 60 for the final to get an A. PS they grade the final and papers relatively hard so don't slack and you'll get an A!!

Review #3 / Course: HIST 2057 / Instructor: LEWIS C
Dr. Lewis was a very nice teacher, however for a 2000 level class a lot of time is required if you want to make an A. Make sure you go to class and take notes, and definitely read the required texts.

Review #4 / Course: HIST 2057 / Instructor: LEWIS C
Professor Lewis has a great personality and really made this course enjoyable. The exams are extremely easy IF you study and take good notes. My advice is take notes to hear talking, NOT the powerpoints.

3 out-of-class essays, midterm, and final are only grades (all essay). OOC essays are on choice of novel or film, and she gives you essay topics for exams. Uses powerpoint, but extra note-taking required.

Very interesting class. TA kinda sucks but there is a different one every semester. Lewis is very flexible and content is easy. Lots of notes.
