Very fun and interesting class. My only complaint is that Bachar is that he can get side-tracked very easily, and it's less fun than it sounds, but that's just a minor issue.

Bachar is the best. I had him for 4 semesters, and I wish there was more Arabic Classes at LSU so I can take the class with him even longer!!!

I really liked Dr. Bachar. He definitely kept the class interesting. He really helped me enjoy what I was learning and made me want to come to class to see what he would do next.

You have to work a bit in 1101 for an A, but Bachar is hysterical and the class is fun.

Bachar rocks my world. You have so much fun that you dont realize that you are in a class. We had lots of parties. I have made many good friends through Arabic class. It does take up some of your time, but well worth it.

He's really nice and accomodating but the class is full of a lot of propoganda. He makes all kinds of statements without any basis behind them. He makes the middle east sound like a haven for everyone.

Notice all good evals are based on humor. You may laugh, but that's bc he is so childish and would rather waste time eating and doing "culture days"(just trying to brain wash his intl opinions);being lazy. He's just chillin and collectin that check.

Bachar is the most awesome teacher I have ever had. He makes the class so fun that you don't even realize you are learning a language. Its the one class I wake up to go to. Definitely take it if you can!

My first language, and I still got a B. Horrible teacher. Embarrasses students. Talks of same childhood stories for days, so expect to teach yourself the language. I am certain he gave himself the positive ratings, since most students dont return.
