Lisan isnt a bad teacher; it's just a hard class. If you will need Calculus in the future for more difficult levels of math, take Lisan, but if 1550 is your last math.. find someone else

He's not as bad as most people say. His test questions are exactly the same as homework questions except with the numbers changed. I liked him.

this dept has a funny way of making the easiest math hard. the tests are all or none..no partial credit ... lisan doesnt speak english . awful experience. avoid if possible though it usually isnt taken by choice

uses the textbook... A LOT....i dont think the man ever took this class because the only problems he can actually do are the ones that the book explains. i corrected him on at least one problem on every exam so watch his grading cause he's a moron.

Lisan is ok, but doesn't really teach, just reads the online notes-don't bother going to class. I took trig in h.s. and i understand everything, but the online tests are HORRIBLE- no partial credit and it grades wrong sometimes. Avoid this class!

Teaching isn't clear at all, quizes and tests consist of too many problems of high difficulty for the time allowed. Avoid. I dropped it and i'm taking Britt. Paul Britt is the best math teacher at LSU.

I am a pretty good math student, and understand things well and get it fairly quickly, but Lisan was horrible. I was only in the class for a week before I switched to another prof. Dont take or Get out and find someone else better!

My father died before finals. My other professors were very compassionate & flexible regarding make-up exams. Dr. Lisan was very cold & told me I ?was taking advantage of the situation". Bad instructor & heartless, schedule someone else!

This guy is crazy and puts crazy material on the tests. I had to end up dropping the class cause I couldn't score higher than a 50 on his tests, even though I did all the homework and never missed a class.

First of all, he can't speak english clearly. Secondly, his tests and quizzes are special cases - none of it comes from homework or examples he's done. He can be extremely sarcastic at times, esp. if you don't understand what he's TRYING to say.

Lisan, cant present the material clearly. When asking a question to him he normally asks did you do the homework? Rarely works good examples and his test consist of the hardest material in the section
