GENTRY L (ANSC)

Dr. Gentry is a sweet and caring teacher who will help her students in anyway possible...BUT you have to know every detail/word that comes out of her mouth. She uses power-point to teach the class, which is helpful, but she expects you to GO to class, remember every word she says (whether or not its relevance to the topic) and pay attention and not text or be on facebook while in class. My advice is to use a recorder and compare notes with a friend. Her test are straight from the notes. Rarely will she ever test you on anything from the textbook, and if she does it may be one or two problems on the test. Expect a quiz every Friday, but you do get a chance to replace two of you lowest quiz grades with participation points. Overall the class is really informative, but it does require a little more than more introduction classes!

She makes this so much harder than necessary. Way over the top and has random questions on the tests from random stories. Does not give any kind of study guide so you better have a damn good memory.

She is way too much... always telling stories about herself, very amped up, and her tests are very difficult. Write down EVERYTHING, b/c the things that don't seem important will wind up on the tests, too. I liked learning the material but I didn't enjoy the class

Gentry is wonderful!! Down to earth adn willing to help you out. Super nice and easy grading.

I didn't like this class... Know everything she talks about like the back of your hand. Make sure you understand the chapters too. If you can get old tests (almost identical) they're very helpful. The lab was ok, but Lackey is a slacker on grading

Dr. G has way too much energy. Class was ok not an easy A by any means. Must be able to identify animals on tests (not too difficult), over all the class wasn't too bad. I studied for the final the morning of and made an A. Go to class

I felt like I was in a farming class. Boring material for people not interested in just livestock animals. Gentry is funny but sometimes a little too perky on Monday mornings if you know what I mean. Generally easy material if you study.

she is very enthusiastic and really nice. but her tests cover eveeeeeerrrryyyything. lots of material to study but its all memorization.

Just go to class and you will do fine. There's a quiz every friday but very simple if you paid attention in class

nice teacher and full of energy. class is fairly easy, a lot of information. Study hard before the tests though, they can be tricky. most of the exam is from the notes but she will pull a few questions from the text so you have to read.

Dr. Gentry is so funny and really makes this class enjoyable.

GREAT class with excellent guess speakers!!! I would definitely take this class.

Dr Gentry sucks! She is obnoxious and her tests are AWFUL! You go the entire semester not knowing what is going to be on the lab final-most of the class fails it and those that pass, pass with a C-D

Dr. Gentry is a wonderful, delightful teacher. She is very into what she does. She is the best! Lots of bonus points-easy class!

If you have a love for animals of any kind you should take this class (Pretty easy A if you study your notes for the tests). And Dr. Gentry is very enthusiastic!

She is very energetic and hyper.

Gentry is great!!! There is however alot of information and hard exams.

This class gives a good overview of nutrition, biochemistry, and Carcass evaluation. Dr. Gentry is enthuiastic and very fair in when making and grading tests.

Gentry was really nice but the class was intense. You have to study every waking hour of just biology.

Dr. Gentry is a great professor. Plenty of jokes and stories about her animals (especially Killer)...just take the course!

Dr. Gentry made an early class very enjoyable, and was there for the students. If you love animals and learning about them, take this class.

This class has been easy so overall its okay, I guess if you have to take it. But parts of it are really boring unless you enjoy learning the parts of pig intestines!!!

One of the easiest courses I have ever taken, easy A, I highly recommend this crip course.
