Make sure you participate! Otherwise you will get a surprising 50 in participation which could bring your grade down a lot. Aside from that, he was a pretty cool dude... Just a little boring. And he grades extremely hard. I think there was only like 1 A in my whole class.

Chumba Wumba is hard to handle at 3:00 in the afternoon. Very boring....material is very emo but he does a good job explaining it . I recommend him, nice man.

Chumbley is very eccentric, but kind and generous. This class is difficult at first, but gets easier through the course of the semester. You will learn a lot of grammar and your spoken french will improve markedly, Translations are very helpful.

He rambles the entire time so you have no idea what's actually going to be on the test. He never talks in French but expects you to take tests and do projects in French. He's also kinda moody.

Chumbley is awesome! his class is pretty boring.. but he is a pretty good teacher! he's very understanding if you have any problems and a very easy grader! take him if you need this class!!

Chumbley is an easy grader but a horrible teacher. Disorganized, unfair, and childish, he gives tests that try to trick you and throws temper tantrums when nobody understands the questions. I learned NOTHING from him and still got an A in his class!

The class itself is great, I love all of the French classes that I have taken so far. But this teacher never taught out of the book or lectured on anything relevant to the class or tests.

This is the second time I've had Big Bob Chumbley. He's a great guy, very interesting, and most importantly, an EASY GRADER. He's very sympathetic and caring. A little tough to hear, but it's all in good fun. Right?

Chumbley doesn't care whether or not his students learn anything and clearly hates the subject he teaches. Very grouchy, with poor communication skills and nearly illegible handwriting.

Chumbley doesn't do well teaching grammar stuff, and he gives quizzes solely on grammar. Doesn't seem to understand that if half of the class fails, he didn't do a decent job of teaching the material.

Though he mumbles a little and his class can be excrutiatingly slow, Chumbley is a wonderful, helpful teacher. Assignments/tests are (very detailed) English to French translation

Much of the time I could not hear him b/c he talks very low. He goes easy on grades...and he's a nice, fair guy.
