Dr. Madden likes to spend quite a lot of time talking about fundamentals, but gives out study guides before exams and generally cares about student performance.

If (like me) you haven't had this subject in high school, then don't take Madden. However, if you'd like a challenge then he is definitely the teacher for you. He is difficult, but also very compasionate towards his students.

James Madden is too smart for his own good. He can't break down concepts to students' level. I felt confused. I did not learn anything.

I guess this class would be ok from a different teacher. If you want to be insulted and your work torn apart, take Madden. He cares about his students and the material, but DOES NOT show it appropriately. No prepared for class. Personality sucks!

Dr. Madden was a little hard to follow at times but he gave study guide before each test and they were just like the test. just understand the concepts of the study guide and you should do well in the course

Madden has trouble getting students to understand but provides detailed practice tests with solutions and his tests come straight from those. And hes very willing to help outside of class time.

His intentions are in the right place; however, his is so smart that it is almost impossible to follow him. He doesn't give tests and you hardly ever have to go to class (he gives almost everyone a B).
